Carefully selected vineyards with a low per-acre yield give life to a collection of wines of the highest quality, coaxed by the patience of those who have an absolute dedication to wine, made slowly and with all the veneration of a sacred daily ritual in the name of Excellence. The wines made at Le Favole are, in fact, the custodians of the essence of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, with its unique aroma typical of a special area where the micro-climate, the karstic rock on one side and the sea on the other set the ideal conditions for a magical meeting of sensations to be savoured and deep emotions into which to abandon oneself. Emotions which are imprinted with the memories and evocative sensations offered by the native land of the two Cadorin families, who are closely tied to the town of Caneva where they live and work with great dedication. Contact with nature and vineyards here find a natural extension in the daily tasks performed in the passionate care given to the vines during the entire course of the year. At harvest, when the presence of the expert grape harvesters is indispensable for the hand picking and the transformation of the precious raw material, every act is meticulously repeated blending tradition with the use of new technology, keeping absolute quality as their supreme goal. The choice of the right vines for the peculiarities of the soil, the careful work in the vineyard and the correct vinification techniques allow the winery to bring out the best results nature can provide: intensely perfumed whites (Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Traminer Aromatico, Malvasia Istriana and Sauvignon Blanc), well structured full bodied reds with fine flavours (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso) and wines that merit meditation as they render the senses vibrant with passion (Verduzzo Friulano). The collection is rounded out with three precious reserve wines (Storiis, Noglâr e Cretis), that are diamonds which shine in the glass touting their prized qualities, heady bouquet and great structure. Of the 60 hectares, located between the sea and the soft hills that frame the Cansiglio woods, 18 hectares give the Cadorin families those rare oenological pearls, the remaining land is dedicated to olive groves, the cultivation of cereals and woods of acacia, oak, chestnut, hornbeam and walnut trees.
